Here's how to connect to your Windows PC from a Mac and copy files to (and from) each machine. Make sure both your Windows 10 machine and your Mac are connected to the same network. Click Cortana in Windows 10 and enter 'Command. Mar 19, 2020 Hello, I have a technical question about file sharing. I use a remote desktop connection to connect to the company server. We currently are in-between IT service groups (last guy retired, he will be missed!) Anyway, I need to save my desktop files locally and have 4 or 5 of these local desktop file folders saved as a backup on the server. Click Share desktop in your meeting controls to present your desktop or an app during a meeting in Microsoft Teams. You can add your phone as a companion device to present files, share live video, and much more. Use mobile video to show things that are out of view for remote participants. Take a photo to share with everyone, or pick one. Download Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac. Connect to Windows-based PCs to access Windows-based files, applications, devices, and networks from your Mac. And also to share it with others.
I have installed Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.5 For MAC OSX 10.8.5 and added new remote connection in the list which works fine.
Now i export same connection to .rdp file but when i execute it mstsc opens remote os login screen for user password to login (which is already in keychain store).
Question:
how can i launch .rdp file so that it will not ask remote user password?
where/how to store password?

I am sorry. I had the false impression that it was commonly known that .exe files did not run on Mac OSX natively and failed to see any constructive critique you were bringing. Maybe I am wrong. Again deepest apologies.
Unfortunately.. these days.. not every one is aware of this .exe fact.
Apology accepted. and Thank You.I have an external hard drive which has a password that is a exe file. I figured if I could find an app that opens exe files it would be the best idea, but since I upgraded to mountain lion that app doesn't support mountain lion!

Hey Guys, I'm new around here and with mac technology as well. Anyway, I have an iMac OS X 10.5.1 Leopard and I've recently purchased the Virtual PC for Mac 7.0.2 software. So I'd like to know how to use this program properly, because I need to run some executable files in my computer. It is confusing for me because I don't know how to get started, and I only get to the part when it says 'OS not found, Install an OS on this hard drive'.
Honestly I've no idea of what an OS is or where do I get that. So I'd really appreciate if one of you guys could tell me, step by step, what to do to use Virtual PC properly, and finally learn how to run .exe files on mac.
Thanks in advance!
Have a nice day!Always nice to see new faces
Honestly I've no idea of what an OS is or where do I get that.
This brings up the second part of your problem. The first part is setting up either a proper Virtual Machine program like Parallels or VMfusion, or setting up a Boot Camp partition on your drive.
http://www.parallels.com/
http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
OS stands for Operating System. You are running Leopard 10.5.7 as an operating system on your Mac (MacOS X).
The second part of your problem - You will need a copy of Windows XP or Vista if you want to run Windows on your Mac.
There is at least one other solution for running Windows programs on a Mac. It's called 'CrossOver' by a company named 'Codeweavers'. It's based on a project for 'Wine' to be able to run PC programs on a Mac or Linux, without having to buy or install Windows. It works with a narrow subset of Windows programs so you would want to make sure the program you want to run is compatible with CrossOver before you buy it.
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/
In addition to all the above information, you need to upgrade your Mac to the latest 10.5.7 from 10.5.1. 'Software Update' is located under the black Apple icon in the Menu Bar at the top left corner of your monitor. After you are updated you will want to update your Profile here so that it shows the proper OS version.
With your level of experience with MacOS X and the Windows OS's you should probably get some help from a local Apple store. They have an appointment system and do offer many types of help and training, and they can offer assistance with choosing the proper programs for you to purchase for your machine.
You are also welcome to continue to ask questions here, of course. You will want to ask your questions with different issues that come up in different threads so that the answers stay focused on the title of the thread.

I don't see any problems with using the card and drives on your new Mac. Hardware is too pricey to just leave behind if you can't help it. With the new drivers I suspect you'll be able to use your drives, I just don't think you'll be able to boot from them if the interface card requires drivers. They should still be very fast storage devices, and probably reliable due to the ongoing support the vendor has provided.
I went through the same type of issue when I bought my Dual G4 1.42 Tower (upgraded from a Quadra 840AV ). Several of my devices were SCSI (I was into SCSI Wide/Fast drive arrays at the time for video capture), and I was able to use an Adaptec card for scanning for several years with Jaguar and Panther. I'd spent quite a bit of cash to ensure high quality and performance and didn't want to loose all of the investment. Eventually the SATA hard drives and other USB and Firewire replacements became so cheap and performance improved enough that loosing SCSI with Tiger was not a big deal. I do think I should get about 5 years of hardware compatibility with most products and I keep older Mac's around for dedicated services as long as they aren't a costly maintenance issue.Dear Team,
How to extract .bin file on mac os ? please help me
regards,
kalaiAlthough the link posted by the other responder shows .bin files to be a copy of RAW CD or DVD data in my experience most .bin files are some type of configuration file mainly used with internet routers and other pieces of PC/Networking equipment.
Just where did this .bin file come from and what is it associated with that you are trying to open on your Mac?
If it is a router configuration file that you downloaded you don't open it on the Mac. You log into your router and go to the update firmware section and browse to that file stored on your Mac hard drive and let the router handle opening and updated the routers firmware.where is button to accept end user agreement so I can download or read online file. mac osx reader XI
every time i click on a file to downloac
i get a reader message Before viewing PDF .. you must launch adobe reader and then accept the End User License Agreement. Ive searched every part of the menu for this and cant fine itOk, so the Reader app works. Fine, but why did you say ',the reader won't open any more', that led us a confusing direction.
Ok, the problem is most likely caused because you downloaded Acrobat Pro, which takes over from Reader, then got rid of it. You now have part of Acrobat in Safari, not part of Adobe Reader.
There are two things to try to fix this. The first and easiest is to download and install Adobe Reader again. That should puts its stuff back in Safari with a bit of luck.
Important note for others following this thread. Downloading Adobe Reader is not going to help you if you have not understood and followed the instructions to 'launch' Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat). Make sure you understand what 'launch' means before downloading anything again.how do i save files from mac pro to an external hard drive
Your external drive is formatted NTFS which OS X can read from but not write to. You can either install third-party software on the Mac to enable writing to the drive or repartition and reformat the drive for exclusive use with the Mac. If you don't need to move files between a Mac and a PC, then I would recommend the latter solution.
Tuxera NTFS 2012.3.2
NTFS for Mac OS X 9.5.3
To repartition:
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select the external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size. How to run script file ( unix script file like ksh or sh file) using Java Program?.
